Puktka Seed Mini Pumpkins

These little “pumpkins” are actually the dried fruit of the Glochidion Ferdinandi tree from Australia, otherwise known as the “cheese tree”.  They make excellent real looking miniature pumpkins!  They work in 1:12 dollhouse scale and 1:24 half scale.  My mix contains at least 25 mini pumpkins in assorted sizes, shapes and colors.

Don’t limit yourself to a traditional Fall display on the front porch!  Tuck a few in a crate in the attic.  Make a pumkin-headed scare crow!  Add some interest to a graveyard scene.  Or you can go modern Fall decor and paint one black and glue it to a candle-stick.  These guys are so much fun!  Because they are very light they are easy to place.

Tip:  If you put a light coat of fluorescent paint on these guys–let the paint flow into the grooves(!), you will have pumpkins that react to fluorescent light and really look fantastic!  You can also paint on faces or other decorations to fit your decor.  The best part of these little guys is that they are made by nature, not a mold, so they are each unique and add a lot of realism to your scene.
