Tip: If you want to construct a free-standing spotlight, you can do so easily by coiling the flexible wires and a little bit of the solid-core wires on top of the battery case. Hold the wires in place with a small rubber band and then you can position the light by bending just the solid-core wires to whatever position you need! See the image of the light above to see an example of how I do this.
Black Light Spot Light
$8.00
This spotlight is designed to light up a single item or small area. It has a single UV LED diode soldered on to 5″ of solid-core wire which allows you to point the spotlight and it will hold itself up. The solid-core wire is soldered to another 5″ or so of flexible wire that goes to the battery box. I have included a resistor in the wiring so the spotlight can be run using the included 6-volt battery box or hard wired into a 12-volt DC electrical system without fear of popping the bulb! The battery box is powered by two (2) CR2032 batteries (included) for a long life!
My spotlights also include a small tube that slides over the light diode. This allows you to focus the light to a narrow or wide angle to best suit your lighting needs. This tube can be removed entirely if desired as it isn’t glued down.
